I Was Fun Mom for One Day – and It Was Awesome
I am not a fun mom. Being fun is not fun for me and my idea of fun is knowing that my kids are clean, fed and rested. See? I told you I’m not fun.
I’ve seen those posts about what would happen if you said ‘Yes’ to everything your kids asked for just one day. I’ve wondered what it might feel like to be fun and toyed with the idea of trying it, but it seemed unnatural. Until last week when something came over me and I was fun for an entire day. The clock eventually struck midnight, and I’m happily back to my stuffy, strict self, but it was fun while it lasted.
My kids looked at me like I had three heads and then embraced fun mommy and came along for the ride. I learned a lot in just one day as my alter ego and I actually . . . had fun!
