Sweetheart Valentine Mix

This Sweetheart Valentine Mix is delicious and easy to throw together for a fun Valentine’s Day treat!
Hi, I’m Wendy from Around My Family Table. I believe that getting together around the supper table is important for all families. So, I share quick and easy, family-friendly recipes that will help your family get back to enjoying the things they love most. I’m so excited to be here at BonBon Break today sharing one of my kid’s favorite Valentine’s snacks.
I have been making this Sweetheart Valentine Mix for years and I finally passed the torch onto my 10-year-old daughter last year. She made a couple batches, bagged it up, and handed it out to her friends as little gifts for Valentine’s Day. I love that this is simple and easy enough for her to make.
This year, we had a little party at our house and created a fun Valentine’s Table of goodies. The girls all went a little crazy when they saw it and gobbled up all of the treats. Who wouldn’t love a table full of all your favorite Valentine’s treats?
I hope you’ll pop over to AMFT and check out some more easy recipes, plus you’ll also find all the other recipes from my Valentine’s Table, too.
Sweetheart Valentine Mix
- 1 bag microwave popcorn, popped (pick non-buttery, plain popcorn)
- 1 8oz bag conversational hearts
- 1 3-4oz container Valentine’s sprinkles
- 1 12oz bag white chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon shortening or coconut oil
Pop popcorn and set aside to cool slightly. Prepare a 9×13 rimmed pan lined with wax (or parchment) paper and set aside.
In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips with the shortening or coconut oil. Heat on high in 30-second bursts, stirring well in between each burst. Repeat until fully melted and smooth.
Add popcorn and conversational hearts into the large bowl of melted white chocolate and stir to coat. After the chocolate has cooled a little and the other ingredients are coated, dump out mix onto prepared pan. Evenly sprinkle the sprinkles over the cooling mix, you will use at least 3/4 of the bottle.
Let the mix cool completely, before transferring to a zip top baggie to store.
