Learn to Love Winter with Outdoor Playgroups with Family Adventures in the Canadian Rockies

BonBon Break

Last winter I was struggling with a three year-old who really didn’t like winter all that much. I was told that all kids could learn to love snow, that nobody was born a “warm weather” person, and that disliking cold weather could not possibly be a part of somebody’s DNA. Meanwhile, I wasn’t so certain! So what’s a mom in this situation to do? Moving to Florida wasn’t an option and I certainly couldn’t force my child to become fond of winter. I could however start an outdoor playgroup aimed at children his age. An outdoor playgroup that would meet regularly to go skating, sledding and winter hiking. Maybe my son would learn from other winter-loving kids. Surely this would work, right?
