Why I’m Glad I’m Not a Downton Abbey Daughter

~:: Mom’s New Stage ::~

Why I'd turn down life at Downton AbbeyThe piano. The swell of the strings. The view of that stunning castle.

You are transported.

You envision yourself. . . on a carefree stroll about the grounds or perhaps rushing dramatically.

As you run, you feel the swish of the silk skirts on your stocking-covered legs.

You see yourself doing things like hunting foxes and touring the countryside in an open motorcar. When someone speaks of balls, you know they mean dancing, not anatomy.

The next words you speak are in a clipped British accent. You say exactly what you mean. With a few words and a withering look you can gut someone like a fish without their even knowing it.

And the men. Oh, the men!

You know EXACTLY what I’m talking about.

Downton Abbey.

It looks like a dream life.

Would you take it or not?
