My Life, My Shoes

~:: Life on the Mama Track ::~

my life my shoesIt’s funny, isn’t it, how our identities can be expressed through our inanimate objects?

Some people choose stickers on their cars or the color of their hair as their means of communication.

For me, it’s always been about shoes.

Shoes are fun. Shoes are stylish. Shoes are important.

You can never have enough shoes.

But sometimes, for some reason, those shoes stop fitting.

They may become too small, too tight, too impractical.

Or they may simply not feel right anymore.

That’s what happened to me after my son was born.

My shoes—and my life—changed in every way imaginable.
