101 Kids Activities that are the BESTEST, FUNNEST ever!
It’s SUMMER and we are all living the Rockwellian /Pinteresty dream of tall, frosty glasses of freshly squeezed lemonade in mason jars with striped paper straws and our kids are frolicking happily, laughing and singing together with not a worry in sight…right?
Oh wait! It’s hot as Hades, the kids are tearing at one another’s throats, your son’s BFF just got sick and had to cancel a playdate, the three year old stopped napping and was just stung by a bee AND there’s a thunderstorm. Sweet.
Well Holly and Rachel from Kids Activities Blog are here to SAVE THE DAY! They sent me a copy of their new book: 101 Kids Activities That Are the Bestest, Funnest Ever!: The Entertainment Solution for Parents, Relatives & Babysitters!
They have GREAT activities that your kids can set up in a matter of minutes AND you won’t need to run to Michael’s or Target every time you want to do one of the activities. I’d be willing to bet you have most of the supplies already, which makes this really easy to use when that playdate gets cancelled or a storm pops up.
For example, look at this fun maze. No over-the-top supplies needed. Pom-poms, straws and Post-It Notes.
Easy peasy lemon squeezy!
This project transforms sticky notes into a maze that can be designed and constructed by a kid. The fun thing is that even though they designed the maze, it will still be a challenge to maneuver a pom-pom through it with a straw and some air power.

Now that was such a tease, right? Don’t worry. We have you covered. You can buy your own copy now by clicking the gorgeous cover:
This book is perfect for:
1) A Mommy’s Helper who needs a little inspiration
2) Visiting grandparents who want to create memories while playing with their grandkids
3) A gift for your favorite childcare provider
4) YOU!! (and me, yes, me. I love love love my copy! Check out the activity on Page 45 when you get your copy to know why I fell in love with this book. )
Most of all, I really appreciate how they have created activities that reuse or upcycle common household items, like the DIY Roll Up Crayons and the Shake It Up Ink. So often, I find that I have to buy all new supplies and get really frustrated throwing away so many items that I just know could be used again in some useful way. Honestly, this book is packed, jammed and piled with those very ideas.
Whether you need Boredom Busters, Crafts, Games or Simple Science Activities, Rachel and Holly have put it all together for you in one easy to carry book. (By the way, I LOVE that this book isn’t insanely tall where you can’t fit it on a bookshelf. Seriously, they thought of everything.)
Oooooh and you can win a copy until July 15! Go for it!
Again, if you can’t wait to see if you’ve WON and you need a little help to come up with great activities, crafts and games for your kids right now, just click HERE to get your own copy.
