Tears on the Bunny Hill Are an Investment in Our Future

If you have ever attempted to teach your kids how to ski, you know that there can be challenging moments on the mountain. There is frustration and there are tears – over skis that tangle, muscles that are tired and parents who are holding them back from blasting down black diamonds as soon as they’ve successfully completed a ride on the chair lift. Don’t forget the sheer physical exhaustion from hauling a toddler up the bunny hill on an antiquated rope tow for an entire day.

I’m there right now. With a 4-year-old and 7-year-old in tow, skiing as I know it is not happening for a while. But I can see steady progress by the hour and if we can just hang in there a little longer I know this is an investment that will pay off big time in the long run.
