My Mommy! Moment by The Mom of the Year

The moments we rock motherhood don’t seem to happen every day, and certainly don’t happen as often as we need them.  And then out of nowhere, there they are.  They’re there in the child that runs into our arms or wows us with a spontaneous “I love you, Mommy.”  Or maybe we perform our first “surgery” by sucessfully removing a yogurt raisin from our curious daughter’s nose.  However and whenever these moments happen, they’re the times that feed our soul.

These moments encourage us, making us swell with pride.

These moments give us the strength to snap our fingers and tell the world, “Motherhood? Pfft, I got this.”

ABOUT MEREDITH:  Meredith Spidel blogs at The Mom of the Year, dedicatedly earning her title one epic parenting fail at a time. She is an author in the best-selling anthologies, I Just Want to Pee Alone and You Have Lipstick on Your Teeth. When her kids aren’t busy pummeling each other with Legos or requiring their 16th sippy cup refill of the day, she tries to offer quick, relatable laughs for fellow parents of the world and all their empathizers. She remains entirely terrified by crafts, promises to never share any useful household tips, and is fully committed to a less serious look at the world of parenting. Social media is beyond her comprehension, but she makes a pass at Twitter and Facebook.
