Homemade Dryer Sheets

Katie Stahl

I recently learned that most of the store bought dryer sheets are FULL of chemicals. Really awful chemicals that are then absorbed into your family’s skin from their ‘fresh’ and ‘clean’ smelling clothes.

What?!?

Now … I love fluffy soft towels, and good smelling clothes, but not at the expense of my family’s health. Luckily, I’ve discovered these DIY Homemade (and chemical free) Dryer Sheets! You can make them with only a couple of ingredients and supplies, and continue to reuse them load after load!! You can even create your own custom ‘scent’ using different combinations of essential oils.

These dryer sheets help reduce static, soften clothes, and add just a slight scent to your laundry. Chemical and toxin free, eco-friendly, inexpensive, and SO simple … why didn’t I make these sooner?!?

She loves to craft, decorate, dream up projects for her home, and she’s learning to love to cook (not there quite yet). She started View From The Fridge in the fall of 2013. This just happened to correspond to when they purchased their current home. She wanted a place to share their updates, projects, lessons learned, and all her DIY crafts. Her husband is a Financial Advisor, therefore all of their projects are always on a budget (which is usually a lot less than she would prefer … but she loves a challenge).
