A preschooler’s interest in science can be piqued with this easy plant craft. Simple materials such as paint and Styrofoam balls make this craft inexpensive and fun. This craft is perfect for younger children because it does not have to be perfect. The purpose is to initiate a discussion about science and outer space. Create a different planet every day or paint the entire solar system in a night. This flexible craft is guaranteed to spark an interest in preschoolers about planets and outer space.
ABOUT MELANIE: As a mother to four kids (which includes a set of triplets), I consider myself an expert on all things quick. I enjoy cooking, crafting, and general DIY, but I’ve learned that anything that I do has to be something that can be done in the blink of an eye! All the projects on my blog maximize a busy mom’s time to the fullest. I also share a bit about my life as a mom of multiples, which includes some funny memes. As far as crafting goes, I’ve been making little projects since high school. My junior year I was the State Home Economic champion in our school’s system Fine Arts contest. My grandmother taught me to sew when I was a teen. My first project was a pincushion. I’ve come a long way since that little red pincushion, and I hope that you’ll stop by my blog and follow along!
