Driftwood Heart Art {Tutorial} by Simplicity in the South

I really could use some sunshine and sand right now. And a fruity drink with a little paper umbrella would be quite nice, too. All I could think about while making this driftwood heart was how much I look forward to going to the beach with my family this summer. Since summer is 146 days away (yes, I’m counting), this little piece of Valentine’s Day coastal-inspired art will have to suffice.

ABOUT TRICIA: I am the mother to three boys, ranging from 18 to 7 years old and the wife of a supportive man that encourages my creativity. I like to make our home beautiful, he likes to cook. Together, we make a good team. When I’m not working the night shift as a Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Therapist, you can usually find me with a paint brush, hammer or glue gun in my hand. With the help of a little DIY know-how, a few power tools and a lot of determination, I am transforming our s

mall, 1980′s basic builders home  into a home with character and vintage-esque charm. I also share simple craft tutorials, organization tips and recipes. Follow along on my journey on Simplicity In The South’s Blog. You can also find me hanging out on FacebookTwitter, or Pinterest.
