I love celebrating life and giving presents, but it can be expensive and add up quickly. Now that I have three young kids, I have had to find a more creative way to still be able to buy presents without spending lots of money at Target weekly buying gifts for baby showers, weddings, and kid birthday parties. I have found adding a homemade personalized item to a gift makes a normal present really wonderful and special.
Recently, I had the opportunity to help throw a small baby shower for a friend who is expecting her first girl. It was so fun to create some unique decor items for her shower that also acted as part of her present. They were not hard and cost me nothing, since I already had the materials on hand. I want to show you how to can make them, so you can make them (or adapt the idea) for a gift too. They were such a cheap way to add a unique touch to our decor and a personal touch to her gift.
ABOUT ERICA: Erica is a homeschool mom of three young kids (5, 4, and 2 years old). She loves to write about her family, the things they do, and the crafts she makes. Her belief is if you add a spoonful of imagination into every area of your journey, it will be a more beautiful life. She finds blogging and creating to be an outlet that lets her be “her” and not just “mom.” When she isn’t doing these things she loves being adventurous and exploring the outdoors as well as junk/thrift stores.
