World Read Aloud Day: Grab Your Kids—It’s A Virtual Scavenger Hunt! #WRAD

Do you like a good mystery? We do! Books, mysteries, quotes, authors, computers and your kids–all tied into one! What could be more fun for World Read Aloud Day! It’s time to look, read and listen for clues!
In celebrating World Read Aloud Day with LitWorld and these amazing middle-grade mystery fiction authors, let’s go on a virtual scavenger hunt! Each link below (click the yellow post-it) will take you to the participating author’s site. The posts are listed here in alphabetical order, but the clues are not! There are 6 clues and answers in all!
Each of these wonderful authors is giving away a signed copy of their book to a lucky reader! Leave the title of your FAVORITE BOOK TO READ ALOUD in the comments below for a chance to win! (See details below)
F.T. Bradley is the author of Double Vision (Harper Children’s), a middle-grade mystery trilogy featuring Linc Baker. She’s originally from the Netherlands, and now lives on the Mississippi Gulf Coast with her husband and two daughters. F.T. still likes to travel, like Double Vision’s main character Linc, whenever she can.
Sheela Chari is the author of VANISHED (Disney Hyperion), which was nominated for an Edgar Award for best juvenile mystery, and chosen as an Children’s Literature Honor book by the Asian-Pacific American Library Association. VANISHED was also featured on the Today Show with Al Roker’s Book Club for Kids. Sheela lives in New York.
Chris Grabenstein is the author of the New York Times Bestseller Escape From Mr. Lemoncello’s Library (one of Amazon’s “Best Books of 2013”) and the co-author with James Patterson of the #1 Bestsellers I Funny, I Even Funnier, and Treasure Hunters. He is the critically acclaimed author of over twenty other books for children and adults, a playwright, screenwriter, and former advertising executive and improvisational comedian. Winner of two Anthony and three Agatha Awards, Chris wrote for Jim Henson’s Muppets and co-wrote the CBS-TV movie The Christmas Gift starring John Denver. Editor’s Note: These six middle-grade authors work tirelessly to support literacy initiatives and the “need to read!” And I can personally vouch for the fact that their books totally ROCK! (and they are amazing people!) I hope you have enjoyed visiting their sites and playing this game! I want to personally thank Kristen Kittscher for coordinating this great WRAD event! ~Beth
