Everyone I know that has teenagers has warned me about what’s to come with my daughter.

Now, as she is on the brink of turning 13, I get what they are talking about.

Hormones are a minefield of emotions and not just mental anguish, but sometimes physical too. As a woman, this goes without saying. Couple that with a woman-child 13 year old and it’s like handing a stick of dynamite to a honey badger. They just don’t care.

Welcome to my world of navigating through the maze of adolescent puberty as a parent. Did I really sign up for this?
