October Breast Cancer Series with Wendy Nielsen
Having breast cancer at age 33 certainly wasn’t part of the story I had imagined for myself. I was a brand new mom and without a family history of the disease, I was blindsided by the diagnosis. This month marks the fifth anniversary of my diagnosis and I’ve found myself stronger, wiser, and determined to write a new story for myself.
During the month of October, I am highlighting some incredible breast cancer survivors who are also writing their own new stories, and proving that there is life, worth living, after a breast cancer diagnosis. The grace shown by these women serves as an inspiration to not only myself, but to others who are currently battling the disease.
