Val Curtis | President & Editor-in-Chief
Val is the President of BonBon Break Media, LLC and the Editor-in-Chief of BonBon Break. She proudly leads this community where bloggers and writers showcase their material in a way that respects and honors their individual sites, creative rights, and content. Before choosing to be a WAHM in 2010, she worked as a teacher (from preschool to university levels), marine ecology researcher and in marketing and legal firms. When Val breaks away from her keyboard, she enjoys traveling, gardening, cooking, camping, photography, tide pooling, and sailing from home, an island in the Pacific Northwest. Suzanne Cowden | Submissions Editor
Suzanne usually writes about sweet and savory baking projects over at Flour Arrangements, where she focuses on food as a centerpiece for both everyday routines and special occasions. Each recipe, from simple loaves of bread to fondant decorated birthday cakes, comes with a story that blends life with cooking. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and two daughters.
Alison Lee | Submissions Editor
Alison Lee is the co-editor of Multiples Illuminated, an anthology about twins, triplets and more, a writer, and publisher. A former PR and marketing professional, she is the owner of Little Love Media, specializing in blog book tours. Alison’s writing has been featured in Mamalode, On Parenting at The Washington Post, The Huffington Post, Everyday Family, Scary Mommy, and Club Mid. She is one of 35 essayists in the anthology, My Other Ex: Women’s True Stories of Leaving and Losing Friends (Fall, 2014), and has an essay in another, So Glad They Told Me: Women Get Real About Motherhood (Spring, 2016). She is also an editor at BonBon Break. Alison lives in Malaysia with her husband and four children (two boys and boy/ girl twins).
Amelia Mayer | Backyard Editor
Amelia lives with her husband, two boys and two girls in Yellowstone National Park. She and her family live each moment to the fullest, with the belief that life is precious. Together with her husband, she encourages adventures for their children in the form of skiing, hiking, biking, running, camping and lots of outdoor playing. Amelia writes at Tales of a Mountain Mama in an attempt to inspire others to get outside daily too with tips and tricks, stories and lots of gear reviews and giveaways.
Alice Seuffert | Kitchen Editor
Alice Seuffert is a Minnesota mom, wife, education researcher, and blogger at Dining with Alice, where she shares her food and family adventures. She works full-time as an education researcher for a Twin Cities nonprofit organization. On her blog, she shares her adventures making creative comfort food, experiences as a mom, and fun activities like enjoying craft beer. Alice is the Kitchen Star on the Twin Cities television show, Twin Cities Live and is known for her creative comfort food recipes and tips for busy parents.
Keesha Beckford | Writer
Before her two children re-choreographed her life, Keesha was a professional dancer who performed in the U.S. and in Europe. Today she teaches modern and jazz dance in the Chicago area. She is also the human cyclone behind the blog Mom’s New Stage. A multitasker at heart, she shows fierce skills at simultaneously writing, choreographing, checking Facebook and Pinterest updates, playing the role of a mother named Joan “Kumbaya” Crawford, and overcooking food. Keesha is one of the select contributing authors of In The Powder Room’s first anthology, You Have Lipstick on Your Teeth. Her writing has been featured on Mamapedia, The Huffington Post, in the New York Times bestselling anthology I Just Want to Pee Alone, and in the third book in the Pee Alone series, I STILL Just Want to Pee Alone. She was recently awarded a Voice of the Year Award for her Bonbon Break original piece Dear White Mom.
Laura O'Rourke | Writer
Laura O’Rourke is a blogger from Halifax, Nova Scotia. A working mom of 3 boys, she writes about finding grace in the mess of motherhood on her blog, Mommy Miracles. Her blog has been listed on multiple Top 10 Canadian Blog lists. Laura runs an online book club for busy Moms called MomsReading.
Greg Santomero | BonBon Break LIVE Producer
Greg and his wife Angela are the creative force behind the dynamic “Angela’s Clues.” He manages to juggle most of what is thrown his way, while keeping his gals “essentially” in one piece and smiling through it all. He is a three time Emmy Award winning designer/creative director who has been a major force in developing the look for NBC’s Olympic Games, The Super Bowl, The French Open, Wimbledon and more. Most recently, Greg began Santo Studios, a boutique design studio specializing in all forms of visual communication utilizing live action, 2D and 3D for web, film, TV, print and overall brand development.
