BonBon Break is an online magazine for the modern mom. Our editors cut through the internet chaos to bring you advice, ideas, and inspiration in the forms of recipes, parenting tips, crafts, humor and more. We use our “rooms” concept to help you find your favor niches.
Our mission at BonBon Break is to introduce exceptional blogs in an easy and fun format for busy people. In addition, we are providing a place where bloggers and writers can showcase their material in a way that respects and honors their individual sites, creative rights and content.
CEO & Editor in Chief
A former middle school science/math/tech teacher, she put her career on hold to be at home with her son and daughter on an island in the Pacific Northwest. When Val breaks away from her keyboard, she enjoys gardening, cooking, hiking, camping, photography, tidepooling, sailing and potlucks. She gets a kick out of combing the web for recipes and making them gluten free so she can share meals with her husband, family and friends. She is a tech-gadget geek who is poked fun at, but it doesn’t bother her a bit. Combining her love of photography, tech and graphics to create new, fun content for her sites quenches her “thirst” for integrated technology.
Creative Director & Columnist
Greg and his wife, Angela are the creative force behind the dynamic, “Angela’s Clues”. He manages to juggle most of what is thrown his way, while keeping his gals “essentially” in one piece & smiling through it all. He is a three time Emmy Award winning designer/creative director who has been a major force in developing the look for NBC’s Olympic Games, The Super Bowl, The French Open, Wimbledon and more. Most recently, Greg began Santo Studios, a boutique design studio specializing in all forms of visual communication utilizing live action, 2D and 3D for web, film, TV, print and overall brand development.
Betsy Haley is a mid-western native turned Southern Californian with a BFA in painting. After a decade of working any job she could to make money to support her artwork, she began writing Betsylife and made the decision to actively create the life she had been craving. Cooking had long been her daily creative outlet, which she eventually combined with her love of art to become a professional food stylist & photographer. She and her husband are travel fanatics, dog lovers, fitness enthusiasts, and are constantly in search of unique, interesting and creative ways to make life more fun.
Family Room Editor
Amanda was a Mental Health Counselor who worked with children and mothers in both individual and group counseling environments before she became a Stay at Home Mom to two boys. She has a Bachelors Degree in Child Development and Family Studies and a Masters in Counseling where she specialized in Play Therapy.
She left her job in 2010 when she had her oldest son. Her husband is in the military and they have moved 3 times since her oldest was born. Maintaining a license while moving so often is difficult, so she decided to share her love of children and families on the internet instead.
Natalia is a mom to two crazy boys and wife to one handsome dude. She lives in France part of the year where her husband plays professional basketball, but she hails from Southern California. The hubs was born & raised in Nassau, Bahamas, which makes them an intercultural, interracial family traveling the globe together since 2007. She loves to cook (but mostly eat), hang with her fam, be adventurous, & find ways to stay girlie in a house full of men. On her site you can find loads of hair tutorials, makeup ideas, & fashion tips for the everyday woman. She believes that beauty and fashion don’t have to be intimidating and that every woman should learn to embrace her own beauty.
Mom Cave Editor
Jessica (you can call her Jess, her friends do) is a coffee lover, craft supply hoarder and working mother of two wrestling-obsessed little men – ages 4 and 6. She gave up trying to find balance in life long ago and instead focuses on being present, which seems to work for her. Jess writes about food, crafts, blogging and pretty much anything else that comes to mind on her personal blog, Chaos & Love. In her free time (ha!), Jess enjoys spending time with her family at home in sunny Southern California and dreaming of the day when she can once again take naps at will.
Amelia lives with her husband, two young boys and baby girl in Yellowstone National Park. She and her family live each moment to the fullest, with the belief that life is precious. Together with her husband, she encourages adventures for their boys in the form of skiing, hiking, biking, running, camping and lots of outdoor playing. Amelia writes at Tales of a Mountain Mama in an attempt to inspire others to get outside daily too with tips and tricks, stories and lots of gear reviews and giveaways.
Jessica has been designing and developing websites since 1999, and been working almost exclusively with WordPress since 2010. She is the “CEO of Scribbles” and sometimes writer at Science of Parenthood, an illustrated humor blog, and the author and illustrator behind StoryTots, a line of personalized children’s books..
