So pleased to meet you, Carla. If anything, writing is a way of discovery, within all those words a woman is bound to find her passion, even if it’s been dormant for years or never discovered.

Brenda… I am sure I am not the only one you struck home with… many… many women loose their “fire”, it gets lost as life presents its trials and tribulations. You my dear are my new sistah!! I too found my voice with writing (blogging) and it has been an awesome journey. Here’s to you!! With grace I wish you peace and many blessings! Grace, Peace and Blessings… Carla

I can really relate to this post, and I seem to be sinking in to this pattern myself. I have spent so much time these past few weeks trying to make everyone else feel settled that I’ve forgotten to take care of myself. This post was a “wake me up” of sorts, making me realize the patterns I was establishing, so thank you.

Life isn’t always what we think it’s going to be. I’ve learned, probably as others have, the trick is to find a new place for our hearts, to give and forgive, but also, to begin, again and again. Thank kindly for stopping by, leaving a comment. Stay a while, read through the site, there is other wonderful content here.

And it resonates so deeply! I have been feeling this way for quite a while. Who am I behind the mundane life of the busy busy mom who changes diapers, cooks meals and breaks up fights. Where did I…me, myself…the young passionate and inspired woman go? Don’t get me wrong, I love my kids and they are my life and I wouldn’t trade them…but I think I’ve lost the balance between mom and me…I forgot I was a woman still, and it needs to be balanced.

Thank you for your beautiful words, it will definitely give me a lot to ponder.

Why? Why? Why? is it always us vaginas, the first to disappear! I’m so glad that you’re resurfacing and wish that you never put yourself behind any door, or wall, or shove yourself in a box.

I’m in the in between phase of realizing I lost my passion, finding it again and finding myself. Through children and crisis after crisis I have found it so easy, and maybe even a little necessary to keep it all together for everyone else, but larger and larger size jeans is evidence that the one person I seem to forget is myself. Thank you for putting it so beautifully!!!
