I have learned that many times they are watching my actions more than hearing my words. 🙂

Thank you so much for sharing it with our readers. I too have learned so much from my children. Just the other day my 14 year old son taught me a quick lesson. I often make jokes about the state of our house and the horrible housekeeper I am. He said, “why do you always put our house down and how you take care of it? I like our house and I think you do a good job.” It struck me that although I always thought I was poking fun of myself to him I was putting down something and someone he loved.

Mara thanks for always giving me something to think about and to help me navigate the teen years a bit better!
