I don’t have children myself yet, but I taught my cousin once how she should name her front part when she was staying with us for a few days. She has a Dominican mother, so she named it as her mother had taught her (something Dominican). I asked her if she new how it was named in Dutch, she didn’t knew, but was very curious. So I told her we call it a vagina (which is the same in English, only pronounced differently).
After that, every morning she told us: “Now i’m going to take a shower to wash my vagina.” (She already said that every morning, only with the Dominican name for vagina).
That was pretty cute and funny. Small children don’t feel shame about these stuff, so why should you feel ashamed as a parent?
