This Father’s Day Printable is the perfect present for Dad. Just print it and have your kids fill in the blanks.

It takes only a few minutes to do, and if you have kids that aren’t writing yet, you can actually fill the answers in for them. Children of just about any age can draw a picture in the oval, but you could also attach a photograph to make it extra special! This Father’s Day printable goes perfect with a DIY gift for Dad.

How To Use This Father’s Day Printable:

If you have younger kids, you can read the printable to them, but don’t help them with their answers! Seeing what they really think Daddy does and says is the best part! This would even be a fun project to do year after year with your kids so they could see the differences in their answers as they grow older.

Don’t have little ones anymore? That’s okay, too. At my house, we like to fill these in mad libs style since my daughter is a little older and it’s hilarious. Don’t show your kids the father’s day printable beforehand and just ask them these questions:

  • Pick a number.
  • Tell me something to do.
  • What’s a job people have?
  • What is something people say?
  • Tell me something else people do.
  • Tell me a thing.
  • Tell me one more thing people do.

We wrote in her answers and then let her read them out loud to her dad. The whole thing was too funny, and we laughed about it all night long!

This Father’s Day printable is a fun way to remember Dad on his special day without spending a fortune. We also have these Father’s Day Printable Cards over at Kids Activities Blog.

Oh wait! It’s hot as Hades, the kids are tearing at one another’s throats, your son’s BFF just got sick and had to cancel a playdate, the three year old stopped napping and was just stung by a bee AND there’s a thunderstorm. Sweet.

Well Holly and Rachel from Kids Activities Blog are here to SAVE THE DAY! They sent me a copy of their new  book:  101 Kids Activities That Are the Bestest, Funnest Ever!: The Entertainment Solution for Parents, Relatives & Babysitters!

They have GREAT activities that your kids can set up in a matter of minutes AND you won’t need to run to Michael’s or Target every time you want to do one of the activities. I’d be willing to bet you have most of the supplies already, which makes this really easy to use when that playdate gets cancelled or a storm pops up.

For example, look at this fun maze. No over-the-top supplies needed. Pom-poms, straws and Post-It Notes.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Sticky-Note Pom-pom Maze by Kids Activities Blog {Giveaway}

This project transforms sticky notes into a maze that can be designed and constructed by a kid.  The fun thing is that even though they designed the maze, it will still be a challenge to maneuver a pom-pom through it with a straw and some air power.

Now that was such a tease, right? Don’t worry. We have you covered. You can buy your own copy now by clicking the gorgeous cover:

101 Kids Activities that are the BESTEST, FUNNEST ever!

This book is perfect for:

1) A Mommy’s Helper who needs a little inspiration

2) Visiting grandparents who want to create memories while playing with their grandkids

3) A gift for your favorite childcare provider

4) YOU!! (and me, yes, me. I love love love my copy! Check out the activity on Page 45 when you get your copy to know why I fell in love with this book. )

Most of all, I really appreciate how they have created activities that reuse or upcycle common household items, like the DIY Roll Up Crayons and the Shake It Up Ink. So often, I find that I have to buy all new supplies and get really frustrated throwing away so many items that I just know could be used again in some useful way. Honestly, this book is packed, jammed and piled with those very ideas.

Whether you need Boredom Busters, Crafts, Games or Simple Science Activities, Rachel and Holly have put it all together for you in one easy to carry book. (By the way, I LOVE that this book isn’t insanely tall where you can’t fit it on a bookshelf. Seriously, they thought of everything.)

Oooooh and you can win a copy until July 15! Go for it!

Patriotic Pony Bead Crafts for Fourth of July by Kids Activities Blog! So many cute ideas!

We are getting very patriotic in my house right now. The kids are busy with all sorts of DIY flag crafts, USA themed desserts, and they can’t wait to eat this silly corn dog butterfly at their 4th of July BBQ!

It’s always really fun to throw a big patriotic party on the Fourth of July and to have all sorts of flag decorations everywhere. And, it’s even better if they decorations are cheap to make!

We love the idea of using pony beads to make Fourth of July crafts, and we think you will, too! I can’t believe how quick and easy this kid’s activity is! (Wait until you see the trick for making a napkin holder. Who knew?)

Make Your Own Telescope and Stargaze with Free Printables by Kids Activities Blog

We love getting outdoors and looking at the stars. The only problem is, my kids usually fall asleep before it ever actually gets dark enough! I wish they would stay up and see them more often though because there is nothing like the clear night sky in the summer!

If you have the same problem as me, here’s a simple and creative way to help your children learn about the night sky constellations–during daylight hours! It even includes a free printable for them to stargaze with. My kids played with these printables for hours and pretended to be ship’s captains navigating by the stars.

And, as an added bonus, when you finally do stay up late enough on those clear beautiful summer sky nights your kids will know what to look for.

Summer is here and it won’t be long before the kids are telling you just how bored they are. You can plan your own day camp for practically free, and you will get loads of mommy time.

There really is no downside here!

Create Your Own Summer Day Camp by Kids Activities Blog on BonBon Break

When school is out, the first thing my kids want to do is absolutely nothing. That lasts all of about a week, then they’re “soooooo bored.” But summer camps can be expensive. Even the day camps around my house cost a lot of money, and you usually have to book them early because they fill up so fast!

Which is why I love the idea of coming up with a neighborhood summer day camp! It doesn’t matter if you have all sorts of age ranges either. Just remember that older kids love to help out with the younger ones, and they can even be junior counselors.

The best part of this plan is, you don’t have to come up with an entire week’s worth of ideas. All you have to do is come up with one day of activities for the kids. (And there is the amazing added bonus of getting some extra mommy time while the kids are having camp at the other houses!

It’s so brilliant, but so simple that you won’t believe you didn’t think of it first!

This idea could be a SERIOUS game changer for us this summer! It’s always a great idea to play to your strengths and this is an absolutely perfect way to do just that. ~Val
