I agree completely. I wasn't as connected as I wanted to be with the characters–and I really wanted to be, given that I run the theater department at a fine arts camp, and loved the premise.

Like Erin, I didn't find it as "interesting" as people claimed. I ended it feeling very let down. I didn't identify with the characters, is what I think. I simply didn't care about them. I thought some of the situations interesting — the marriages mainly — but the characters? Nope.

We both loved it. And I'm about to start reading A Lady In France & can't wait!

This was a nice surprise because I wasn’t coming here expecting my book to be on the list. (Thank you Arnebya). Most of these choices look like books I’d like to read, and now that I have a kindle (yay!) I don’t have to pay for international postage. 🙂

I loved THE ART OF RACING IN THE RAIN( Caution–do not read the ending in public–or in between flights in an airport like I did…) ; PROVENCE 1970 looks interesting. And speaking of which, I'll be curious to see if you find THE INTERESTINGS more interesting than I did. (I work at a Fine Arts Camp.) Happy 2014 Reading to all!

Farrah–I haven’t heard of that one but I’m interested! Adding to my TBR pile! ^Beth

I am currently very invested in the epic story of The Woman Who Lost Her Soul. I still am not quite sure where it’s going- but so far very interesting indeed.
