But we're also a little weird and we stop it, discuss different jokes, explain plotlines and satire, that sort of thing. So in a weird way, it's like having a guest over for dinner. I actually never realized how much of the foundation for my sense of humor came from that show.

When our daughter got older and her outside activities conflicted with dinnertime, she suggested that we all get up 15 minutes earlier than usual and we have breakfast together. Even if it is only cold cereal, making that connection with your kids is important!!!
