I had the same problem in my neighborhood. Been here for 8 years, and didn't know many of my neighbors. I changed that by baking some Valentine treats with my daughter and going around the neighborhood introducing ourselves and wishing people a Happy Valentines Day. It led to a lot of great connections 🙂

Great question, Stef! It is largely because most (if not all) of the people who shared their thoughts are parents and their suggestions happen to involve kids. But I think the concepts can apply to those without kids too – get outside and say hi, share contact info, plan a get-together – all universal ideas! 🙂
