Raising A Little Boy: 10 Things I Wasn’t Prepared For

~:: Keeping Mommy Sane ::~

10 things about raising a boyIt was nearly seven years ago that I found out I was having a little boy. I remember daydreaming about a tow-headed tike in preppy plaid shorts and a Red Sox cap, holding a wooden sailboat and calmly petting a puppy. I was obviously delusional.  Know what wasn’t in my daydreams? A bathroom sprinkled with urine. Couches that serve double duty as trampolines. Two trips to the emergency room for stitches, all within then span of two months.  Dinner conversations where the words “poop” and “fart” come up every 90 seconds. But it’s all par for the course when you have a son. So here are 10 things I wasn’t prepared for when it comes to raising a little boy.
