Finding quality, age appropriate chapter books for kids who have moved beyond easy readers but are not yet ready for middle grade fiction is not always easy.

That’s why I’ve made a list of fifteen early chapter books featuring girl protagonists, perfect for kids ages 5-10. Remember: they’re not just for girls! My 8 year old son enjoyed these books, too.
