A pause from Bonbon Break…

BonBon Break

Our heads are spinning and our hearts are ripped from our chests, yet our babes are in bed sleeping. After the unimaginable and tragic events in Newtown, CT at Sandy Hook Elementary School, we could not go on with business as usual.

As moms, we give every ounce of ourselves to our babes…and then for something senseless like this to happen to children, women’s babes…it crushes us deep inside.

To the mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, grandparents, neighbors, classmates and friends of the victims of Newtown, we are crying tears for you. While we can’t imagine the pain, we have pain for you. You are in our thoughts. You are in our prayers.

To our readers, today we are only going to post this letter and a post from the past that we hope will be a resource for those who need it.

To honor the lives that were lost, we are walking away from our screens and connecting with those in our lives.

We will leave you with this quote:

“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’ To this day, especially in times of ‘disaster,’ I remember my mother’s words, and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers – so many caring people in this world.”
